We are over in Gali No 5 in Village Mamura, right in Sector 66. It’s a bit of a crowded spot, to be honest. Manoj started this thing at Ashok’s place because we needed a kitchen space that didn’t cost a fortune. If you walk down the lane, you’ll see our door usually propped open to let some air in because it gets really hot back there in the afternoon. We don’t have a marketing team or anyone to write fancy stuff for us, so we just do what we know. The name Manoj Food Creations sounds like we’re doing some high-end art, but mostly we are just chopping, cooking, and packing every single day. It’s an LLP, so there are a few of us involved in the daily grind. Some mornings are a total mess with the deliveries arriving late, and other days things go just fine. We’ve had to learn everything as we go, from fixing the stove to dealing with the local suppliers who sometimes forget what they promised. It’s not a polished operation, but we are there every day. The neighbors know the smell of our cooking by now and sometimes they pop in. We don’t spend money on ads. We just keep the lights on and the food moving out to the stalls and shops that take our stuff. It’s just a way to make a living in a part of the city that never stops.
