Our little office is at G-1 in the J.K Apartments. We’re right near the big water tank in Janakpuri, just off Ramghat Road. If you know the area, the water tank is a pretty good landmark. We focus a lot on health services in rural areas, hence the name. It’s mostly administrative work here in the office, coordinating with people out in the field. We aren’t some big hospital or a glossy health clinic. We are just a group of people trying to organize help where it’s needed most. The office is a bit small and can get cramped when we have all our files out. There’s always someone running around trying to organize a health camp or checking on supplies. Ramghat Road is usually busy, so it’s always a bit loud outside. We’ve been here for a while and the neighbors know us. We don’t do big speeches or fancy posters. We just talk to the people who come in and try to figure out how to get them the medical attention they’re looking for. It’s a lot of phone calls and a lot of paperwork, but that’s the reality of rural service. We just take it one day at a time and try to stay organized despite the chaos. It feels good to be part of something that actually helps people get through their health struggles.
