We do a lot of international work from here, even though the surroundings are pretty quiet. Our office is functional. We have desks, computers, and a lot of filing cabinets that have seen better days. It isn’t a high-rise office with glass walls. It’s a practical building meant for getting work done. We spend a lot of time on the phone or responding to emails. Sometimes the electricity goes out—that’s just part of being near the BIJLI GHAR, I guess—but we just get back to it once it’s on. The team here is a mix of people from around the area and some who travel in. We don’t have fancy uniforms or anything like that. We just wear what’s comfortable for a long day. There’s always dust from the road, so we’re constantly cleaning the windows. It’s just a normal workplace where everyone knows their role. We’ve been at this address for a while and have grown used to the rhythm of the village. It’s not a complicated life, just a lot of steady work.
