Kshitiksha Foundation

We are based out of House Number 303 in Block 12. These are the HIG Apartments in Omicron I, over in Greater Noida. It’s a bit of a trek from the main city, but we like the extra space we get here. The Kshitiksha Foundation started in this living room, and we just stayed. There are a lot of trees around the apartment block, which makes the air feel a bit better than in the more crowded parts of the district. We keep things very basic. There’s a big wooden table where we do most of our planning. We don’t have a lot of workers, just a few people who show up every morning. We drink a lot of chai and talk about what needs to happen next. Sometimes the neighbors come by to see what we’re up to. We’ve become a part of the daily life in Block 12. Greater Noida is growing fast, but our little corner stays pretty much the same. We don’t use any special software or big machines. Just our phones and some notebooks. It works for us. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a shiny office or expensive rugs. We just want to do the work that needs doing. The sun hits the balcony in the afternoon, and that’s usually when we take a short break to stretch. Then it’s back to the files. We’re just regular people trying to be useful. That is really the whole story of how we run things here every day.
