About Keshri Social Welfare Foundation – Charity & Non Profit Organisations in Gautam Buddha Nagar
We set up the Keshri Social Welfare Foundation over in Naresh Vihar, specifically near the Purvi Bazar area. It’s a lively part of the city, and being close to the market means there is always something going on. We operate out of a space that belongs to Dulcha Singh’s family. It’s not a fancy office with glass walls or anything like that. It’s just a regular room with some chairs and a few old cupboards for our files. We started this because we saw things in the bazaar that we thought we could help with. Some of us have known each other since we were kids, so working together comes naturally, even if we argue about the best way to do things sometimes. We don't have a lot of rules about how we talk or act. We just want to get things done. Some weeks are really quiet, and we just sit and wait for someone to come by. Other weeks, we don't even have time to eat lunch. We don't pretend to be more than we are. We’re just a small group trying to be useful to the people in Purvi Bazar. It’s hard to keep everything organized, and our record-keeping could probably be better, but we do our best with the limited time we have. We aren't here for the fame, just for the community work we started. It’s often loud outside because of the bazaar, but we’ve gotten used to the noise over the years.
