Kaushalya World School

Down in HS-34 in Greater Noida, things are a bit spread out. That’s where we are. It’s not as crowded as the city center, which is nice, but it means we deal with a lot of dust from the open areas nearby. We’ve been here since the early days of this sector. The building is large and takes a lot of effort to maintain. Every morning, the sun hits the front of the school and we get ready for the day. We aren't trying to be anything other than a local school for the families around here. Most of our staff live within a few kilometers. We spend a lot of time walking the corridors and checking on the rooms. The playground is where most of the action happens, even when it’s hot outside. We don’t use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. We just teach the subjects, watch the kids during lunch, and make sure the gates are locked at night. It’s a lot of paperwork and making sure the supplies like chalk and paper don’t run out. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait for the generator to kick in. It’s just part of living and working in Noida. We like the routine of it all, seeing the same faces every year as the kids grow up. It isn't always perfect, but we put in the hours and care about the neighborhood.
