Our dairy is based at house number 187 in Durga Nagar. This is in the Tirwaganj part of Tirwa tehsil. Working in the dairy business means our days start very early, usually before the sun is even up. We deal with the local milk collection and making sure everything is handled right. Durga Nagar is a quiet area, and most of our neighbors are used to the sounds of the dairy by now. We do not have any big flashy signs or a corporate lobby. It is just a functional space where we keep our equipment and the cooling tanks. Most of the time, we are busy with the cans and checking the fat content of the milk. It is honest work and it keeps us on our toes. The Tirwa area is good for this kind of business because we are close to the farms. We spend a lot of time cleaning the floors and the containers because in a dairy, you cannot let things get dirty. It is a lot of manual labor and sometimes the weather makes it tough, especially in the rainy season. We have a small desk where we keep the registers for the farmers. We do not really do much in the way of advertising; the local people know where we are if they need us. It is just us doing what needs to be done every single morning. (248 words)
