Jojo Tavakko Foundation

We are over at B-5 in the Rajendrapuram Colony, which is part of Ganga Nagar in Meerut. The pin code is 250001 if you are looking us up on a map to find the way. Our office is basically part of the residential area, so it feels very much like a home. It is quiet most of the time, except when the neighborhood kids are playing outside in the afternoon. We have been running the Jojo Tavakko Foundation from here for a while. It is a small operation. We have a few desks squeezed into the room and we spend our time managing different local projects. Meerut is a busy city but our corner in Ganga Nagar is a bit more relaxed than the center. We do not have a big staff or a receptionist. Usually, whoever is closest to the door answers it when someone knocks. We do a bit of everything, from sorting through mail to planning small community events. It is a bit cluttered with papers and books, but we know where everything is. We like that people can just walk in and talk to us without an appointment. It is not a corporate environment at all. We wear regular clothes and talk like neighbors because that is what we are. The work is not always easy, but we keep at it. We just try to be useful to the people living around Rajendrapuram. It is what we do.
