We are based out of Dulamdaspur, Sarroi. Parvez Ansari and Mohammad Kaleem run things here. It’s a family-oriented kind of place, really. We’ve been working with carpets for a long time. It’s a skill that takes a lot of patience. Our work area isn't fancy, it’s just where we sit and get the carpets finished. Most of us grew up around this trade. It’s quiet out here compared to the big cities, which is nice. We don't use any high-tech marketing. People know Jav Carpets because of the word of mouth in the village and beyond. Sometimes the orders are slow, other times we are working through the night. The address is simple, just C/O Parvez Ansari. We are part of the local fabric here in Sarroi. It’s a humble setup, but we take pride in what we do without making a big deal out of it. We don't have a big corporate office or anything like that. It’s just us, some looms, and a lot of yarn. If you come by, you’ll probably see us drinking tea and discussing the latest designs or fixing a thread. We don't promise anything we can't do. We just work hard and hope for the best. That’s how we’ve always done it here in Dulamdaspur. It's a slow process but the results are worth it for us and the people who buy them. We just try to keep the tradition of carpet making alive.
