Janupkar Micro Development Foundation

We are out in the village of Badedi, near the Nagal post office. It’s a quiet place, mostly farms and open space around here. Sandeep Kumar is the one who keeps everything running. Our foundation works on small development projects for the people in this area. It’s not like the big offices you see in cities. We operate out of a simple building that fits in with the rest of the village. Most of our days are spent walking around and talking to the local farmers and families. We want to see how things are going on the ground. When we are in the office, we’re usually catching up on paperwork or planning the next week. It’s a slow pace, but we get things done. We don’t have a big team, just a couple of us who care about the village. Sometimes we have meetings under the trees if the weather is nice. It’s more comfortable than being inside. We don’t use much technology besides our phones. We keep our records in big binders. People know Sandeep and they know where he works, so they just come by when they need help. It’s a very local way of doing things. We don’t need a big sign or a fancy entrance. We’re just part of the village life here in Badedi. We don't even have a proper doorbell, people just knock on the wooden door when they arrive.
