Janki Agro Food Industries Private Limited

We are located in Kidari, over in the Mahoba area. Alok Kumar Purwar is the person in charge of running the place day to day. It is a very dry part of the state, so farming is not always an easy thing to do here. We started this agro food business to help process some of the stuff we grow locally. Instead of just selling the raw crops for whatever price we can get, we try to do a bit more with them first. The building we use is just a simple industrial shed with a tin roof. It gets very dusty inside whenever the wind picks up across the fields. We have a few machines that hum and rattle all day long. Sometimes they break down, and we have to wait a long time for a part to come all the way from the city. That is just part of the frustration of working in a place like Mahoba. We don't have a big staff at all, just a few local guys who know how to work hard and don't mind getting their hands dirty. We eat our lunch together every day and talk about the current prices in the market. It is not a glamorous job by any means. There is a lot of heavy lifting and cleaning up to do. We don't even have a website or a sign. People around here just trust us.
