We operate from the second floor of F-31 in Sector-6. It’s an older building, but it serves us well for what we do with broadcasting. When you walk up the stairs, you’ll usually hear the sound of monitors or someone checking an audio feed. We aren't a massive operation with hundreds of employees. It’s just a handful of us who know our way around a studio and the gear needed to keep a signal going. The office is a bit cramped with all the racks and wires, but we’ve managed to fit everything in. Sometimes the power goes out in the area and we have to scramble to get the backup running, which is just part of living in Sector-6. We don't have a receptionist in a suit or a fancy waiting room. If you come by, you’ll probably find someone in jeans sitting at a console or fixing a connection. We spend a lot of time looking at schedules and technical specs. It’s not a glamorous job, despite what people think about broadcasting. Most of it is just making sure the equipment stays cool and the cables stay plugged in. We’ve been doing this for long enough that we don’t need a manual for every little thing. It’s a steady job in a busy neighborhood. We just focus on the day-to-day tasks and try to keep things running smoothly. There’s a small shop downstairs that makes the best tea, and that’s usually where you’ll find one of us if we aren’t at our monitors.
