Hamd Humanity Foundation

Hamd Humanity Foundation is situated at 237/004 in Banjari Tola. It’s a busy little neighborhood and we are right in the thick of it. We don’t have a big, polished office with a reception area. It’s just a plain room where we keep our stuff and meet up to talk. We started this foundation because we felt there was a need for some grassroots effort in our area. Humanity is a big concept, but we try to keep it simple. We look at what’s happening on our own street first. Most days, it’s just a couple of us sitting around a table with some chai. We don't have a lot of fancy equipment or a big staff. The building is old and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it works for us. We aren't interested in being famous or having a big corporate name. We just want to be helpful. Sometimes we help people with their paperwork, other times we just listen to their problems. It’s a very informal way of doing things. The noise from the street outside never really stops, but it reminds us of why we are here. We aren't experts with big degrees. We are just local people who care about Banjari Tola. We take it one day at a time and do what we can with the little we have.
