Graminanchal Bio-Energy Farmer Producercompany Limited is what we call ourselves. We are located in Kurara, at House No. 182. It is a farmer producer company, which means we are all about the local farming community here. We are interested in bio-energy, which is basically getting energy from the stuff we grow or what’s left over. The office is just a regular house, nothing fancy at all. We sit around and discuss how to get things moving. It is a bit slow sometimes because things in the village take time. We have our registration as a private limited company, so we do our best with the paperwork. House No. 182 is where we keep our records and meet up. It is often a bit noisy with the neighborhood kids playing outside. We don’t have a big marketing department or anything. We just talk to the farmers directly. Some days we are out in the sun, and other days we are stuck inside doing the accounts. It is a simple life in Kurara. We are just trying to see if this bio-energy thing can help the local economy. It’s a lot of trial and error. We don’t have all the answers yet, but we are working on it. That is just how it goes for us.
