Grah Mangal Women Development Foundation

Grah Mangal Women Development Foundation operates out of Nagla Mahasukh in the Kheragarh area. We are located in Sitouli, which is in the Agra district. It is a very rural setting compared to the city of Agra where the Taj Mahal is. Out here, things are much slower and more traditional. We have a small place where we meet and talk about local issues. The roads can be a bit bumpy getting here, especially after it rains. We are surrounded by fields and a lot of open space. Most of the people around here are farmers or have small trades. We spend a lot of our time talking to the women in the village. It is not a formal office with air conditioning. We usually just sit on mats or simple chairs. The sun gets very hot in the afternoons, so we try to get most of our work done in the early morning. We have been part of this community for a long time. People know us and we know them. It is not about being a big organization. It is just about being neighbors who care about what happens in our village. We don't have a website or anything like that. We just exist here in Nagla Mahasukh and do what we can with what we have. It is a simple life that we enjoy every day despite the hard work.
