Free Lancer

I’ve been working out of my place in Sector-55 for some time now. Noida has changed a lot, but this area stays pretty much the same. I don’t have a shop front or a sign outside. My address is E-90, and that’s basically my office and home combined. Being a freelancer means I handle everything myself. If the internet goes down, I’m the one calling the provider. If the tea runs out, I go get it. It’s a lot of sitting and typing, really. I started doing this because I wanted more control over my time, though sometimes I end up working more than I did at a regular job. The neighbors see me coming and going and probably wonder what I do all day since I don’t wear a suit. I just tell them I work on computers. Sector-55 is a decent spot, close enough to everything but away from the heaviest traffic. I take whatever projects come my way as long as I know I can handle them. It’s not a fancy setup. Just a table, a good light, and my notes scattered everywhere. I don’t use any big words to describe what I do. I just get the work done and send it off. That’s how it’s been for a while and it seems to work out okay. I just hope the power stays on during the summer afternoons.
