Fahar Foundation

Fahar Foundation is located on the Hardoi Road in Lucknow, right in the Dubagga area. If you’re coming down that way, look for Avadh Enclave. We are at Gate Number 1, house 173. It’s very close to the Mominaat Madarsa, so that’s a good landmark to use if you are trying to find us for the first time. The road out front is usually packed with trucks and rickshaws, especially during the day, so it gets pretty loud. We’ve been operating from this spot for a while now. The building is simple and we share the space with a few other things, but it works for us. We focus on helping the local community here in Dubagga. There is always someone coming in through the gate asking about how they can get help with school or some other local problem. We don’t have any polished speeches or big marketing plans. We just sit down with whoever walks in and try to figure out a solution. The office is a bit cramped, and we usually have stacks of paper everywhere, but that’s just how it goes when you’re busy. Lucknow summers are tough here because the Hardoi Road gets so dusty, but we keep the fans going and stay on top of the work. It’s a straightforward operation run by people who live right in this neighborhood. We don't mind the noise or the heat as long as the work gets finished.
