You can find us over at Ram Narain in the Rautta Par area of Basti. It’s a local spot and everyone around here knows the neighborhood. We’ve been working with textiles for a while now. The building is an old one, and it has a lot of character, even if the walls could use a fresh coat of paint. We don’t really mind the look of it as long as the work gets done. Textiles is a business that requires a lot of physical effort. We are constantly moving bundles of cloth and checking the weaves. Basti is a bit slower than the big cities, and we like that pace. It allows us to focus on what we are doing without too much distraction. We are just a small group of people trying to run a decent business. We don't have a marketing department or anything like that. Word of mouth is usually how people hear about us in Rautta Par. Our days are filled with checking shipments and talking to customers who stop by. It’s straightforward work. We have our tea breaks and we talk about the local news. The textiles come and go, and we just make sure everything is handled with a bit of care. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we know and we do it every day without complaining. We just try to keep things moving forward and make sure the bundles are ready.
