Eclectic India Private Limited is tucked away in Chaman Ganj, Kanpur. Our door number is 88/203A. If you know Kanpur, you know Chaman Ganj is a crowded, lively place. There’s always something going on outside our window. We’ve been here for a while, dealing with various goods. The name sounds a bit grand, but we are just a small team working in a cramped office. There are papers everywhere and the tea guy comes by twice a day. That’s pretty much the highlight of the afternoon. We handle different types of Indian products. It’s not always easy, especially with the traffic in Kanpur being what it is. Moving goods through these streets is a bit of a nightmare sometimes. We do our best to stay organized despite the chaos of the city around us. The building we are in is old, but it has character. We don’t spend money on fancy paint or furniture because that’s not what matters to us. We just need a place to sit, a phone, and some space to store our samples. Most of the time it’s just the three of us trying to figure out the logistics for the next week. It’s a bit messy, and we probably drink too much chai, but we get the work done eventually. It’s just how things are at our Kanpur office.
