You can find Dhairya Microcare Foundation right near MS Public School in Midhakur. Agra is famous for the Taj Mahal, but our part of town is much quieter and more about regular daily life. Being near a school means there is always a lot of noise during the day—kids shouting, bells ringing, and parents waiting around. It keeps the energy up around the office. We are a small group of people trying to help out with local needs. Our office is simple, just a few rooms where we keep our files and meet with people. Sometimes the dust from the road gets everywhere, so we are always cleaning the desks. We deal with a lot of small details every day. It’s not flashy work, but it feels important to the people who come to see us. We have a few plastic chairs for visitors and a very old water cooler that makes a loud humming noise. People from the surrounding villages often stop by when they are in town for the market. We listen to their stories and see how we can assist with their micro-needs. It’s a lot of talking and a lot of listening. We don’t have a big corporate setup with fancy slogans. It’s just us, some ledger books, and a desire to help the folks in Midhakur. We stay busy from morning until the sun goes down. Sometimes we stay late if the paperwork piles up too high.
