Community Medical Service & Essential Drugs Council

Our office is at 802 SA Ali Nagar, in the Sunehra area of Sarojini Nagar. We are the Community Medical Service & Essential Drugs Council. It is not a hospital where you see patients, but rather a place where we handle the logistics and the administrative side of medical services and drugs. The building is a regular block in SA Ali Nagar, and our office on the 800-level is usually filled with stacks of documents and ledgers. We spend most of our time dealing with councils, inventory lists, and making sure the essential drugs are accounted for. It’s a lot of desk work and phone calls to various suppliers and health centers. Sarojini Nagar is a well-known area, so getting here isn't too bad, though the local streets can get a bit narrow during the day. We have a small team here, and we’ve all been working together for a long time. There is no fancy lobby or receptionist with a headset. You just walk in and see people at their desks surrounded by files. We often have tea together in the afternoon while we talk about the latest updates on drug supplies. It’s a very grounded way of working. The fans hum overhead and the printers are usually going non-stop. We aren't trying to impress anyone with the office looks; we just need a place to stay organized and get the council's work done every day so things run smoothly for the community.
