Ashok Mehta & Co

Our office is on the first floor, right near Aggarwal Sweets. If you can smell the samosas and the sweets, you are probably very close to our door. Ashok Mehta & Co has been in this spot for quite a while now. The building is a bit older, and the stairs are narrow, so you have to watch your step when you come up. We share the floor with a few other small businesses who have been here as long as us. It’s a busy area with a lot of foot traffic downstairs near the market. Inside, it's mostly just desks piled with papers and some old filing cabinets that squeak a lot when you open them. We don't have any fancy decorations on the walls or any of that. It’s a practical workspace for us to get things done. We spend most of the day on the phone or working through various documents. Sometimes it gets a bit noisy from the street below, but we've gotten used to the sound of the horns. The ceiling fan in the corner hums all day long. We know the neighbors pretty well, especially the guys at the sweet shop where we get our snacks. We usually grab lunch from one of the small stalls nearby. It’s a very local way of working. There's no big reception area here, just a small space where people can wait for a minute. We prefer it this way because it feels real and honest. We do the work that comes in and keep things moving.
