Anjalis Color Labs

Anjalis Color Labs is down on the lower ground floor of the Centrestage Mall in Sector 18. Being in a mall means we don’t get much natural sunlight, but the overhead lights are bright enough for what we do. It’s an interesting place to work because you see all sorts of people walking by on their way to the shops or the movies. We’ve been at this spot for a good while, surrounded by other small shops and food stalls. Most of our day is spent dealing with prints and colors, making sure the machines are running right. It’s not always glamorous work. Sometimes the mall air conditioning is too cold, and other times it feels like the whole building is buzzing with noise. We keep our space tidy, or as tidy as you can keep a lab with all the equipment and paper lying around. People usually find us when they’re heading to the basement parking or just wandering around the lower level. It’s a small space, but it fits everything we need. We don't spend much time on fancy decorations or anything. We just focus on the job at hand. The mall opens at ten, but we’re often here a bit earlier getting things set up. It’s a steady rhythm, day in and day out. Sector 18 is always busy, so there’s never a dull moment even if we are tucked away downstairs. There is always a stack of photos waiting to be sorted.
