Out here in Pocket P 3, Phi Sector of Greater Noida, things feel a bit different than the main city. Humboldt Wedag India Pvt Ltd has its space set up here among the wide roads and the newer buildings. It’s a bit of a trek for some of us to get here, but the air is slightly better than in the middle of Delhi. Our office is functional. It’s got what we need to handle the industrial projects we are involved with. You won't find any marble lobbies or fancy artwork on the walls. Instead, there are blueprints, a few old computers, and plenty of notebooks filled with calculations. The Phi Sector is still developing in some parts, so it can get quiet in the evenings. We spend most of our time coordinating with different sites and making sure the orders are processed correctly. Lunch is usually brought from home and shared in the small break area. Sometimes we go out to the local market if someone has a birthday. The work is mostly about heavy machinery parts and engineering details for the plants we support. It is a lot of back-and-forth on the phone and checking lists. We don’t really do much to show off; we just focus on getting through the stack of work on our desks before the day ends. It’s a straightforward environment where everyone knows their job and just tries to do it well.
