Chaudhary Kirana Stores

Chawri Bazar is always a whirlwind of activity, and Chaudhary Kirana Stores is right in the thick of it. We are located at Shop No 3564 on the 3rd Floor of Ravi Raj Market. Being on the third floor is a bit unusual for a grocery store, but we make it work. Customers have to climb the stairs, but they know we have what they need. We stock all the staple items like different kinds of dal, rice, and cooking oils. It’s a very old market, so the buildings have a lot of character, even if the stairs are a bit narrow and steep. I spend most of my day checking the inventory and talking to the wholesalers who work nearby. We get a lot of bulk orders because of our location in the market. It’s not a polished environment by any means. There are stacks of cardboard boxes everywhere and the smell of raw spices is quite strong. We don't use any fancy marketing tricks or elaborate window displays. People come to us because we’ve been here for years and they know our face. My son helps me with the heavy lifting when he’s around between his classes. It’s a hard-working life in Chawri Bazar, but we wouldn't have it any other way. We just focus on getting the daily tasks done and making sure the customers get their supplies without any unnecessary fuss.
