Bajrang Kirana Stores

Bajrang Kirana Stores is right on Railway Road in Murad Nagar. It is a handy spot because people can just stop by on their way to or from the station. The shop is full of the usual things you need for a house, like soap, flour, cooking oil, and biscuits. Because we are near the railway, we hear the trains passing by all day long, which is something you just get used to after a week of working here. I spend a lot of time weighing out items or restocking the shelves when they get empty. The floor is old stone and the wooden counter has been worn smooth from years of people leaning on it while they wait for their change. We don't have a lot of help, so it is usually just me or a family member standing behind the jars of sweets. It is not a supermarket where you wander around with a cart. You just tell me what you need and I grab it from the shelf behind me. The morning rush is the busiest because everyone wants their milk and bread before they start their day. In the afternoon, it gets a bit quieter, and I can catch up on the bookkeeping or just sit for a minute. We stay open pretty late because there is always someone who forgot to buy salt or matches for their kitchen. It is a simple life and a simple shop, but it keeps the neighborhood going.
