Uvvy Textile Marketing Private Limited is located at No. 10 in Ashok Nagar, right here in Brahmapur. We share space at Prafulla Chandra Rout’s place. Ganjam is a busy district, and being in Brahmapur puts us in the middle of a lot of trade. We handle the marketing side of textiles, which means a lot of phone calls and ledger books. Our office isn't anything special to look at. It has some desks, a few chairs that creak, and piles of samples in the corner. We spend our days talking to suppliers and trying to find buyers for different types of cloth. The heat in Brahmapur can be really tough in May, so we usually start early in the morning to get things done before it gets too hot. We don't have a big fancy sign outside, just a small one so people can find us. It’s a small team of us, and we all pitch in with everything, from cleaning the floor to doing the accounting. There’s always someone coming in or going out with a bag of fabric. We’ve been in Ashok Nagar for a while now, and the neighbors know us. We aren't some big city corporation with a hundred employees. We are just local people trying to earn a living in the textile trade. It’s simple work, but it keeps us busy and pays the bills. Sometimes we stay late when there is a lot of work.
