Uday Constructions

We are located at Basudev Nayak’s place in Raghunath Nagar, Asika. This is in the Ganjam district of Orissa, and it’s a fairly quiet part of the world. Uday Constructions is run from here, and we are very much a part of the local community. The office is really just a part of the house, which makes it very convenient but also very informal. We don't have a big staff or a fancy setup. It’s mostly just us handling the paperwork and talking to people who drop by. The road outside can get quite dusty in the summer, and the heat in Orissa is no joke. We usually start our work early in the morning before it gets too hot to think. There are trees around the house that provide some shade, which we are very grateful for. We don’t use any marketing tricks or have a big sign on the main road. Most people in Asika know Basudev Nayak’s house, so finding us isn't usually a problem. We spend a lot of time on the phone or meeting with people who live in the surrounding villages. Life moves a bit slower here, and we like it that way. We don't have any grand mission statements; we just try to do our work properly and keep our word to the people we work with. It is a very practical, down-to-earth way of doing things, and we have been doing it this way for a long time.
