Shaandhan Papad Private Limited

Making papad isn't fancy work, but it is what we do here in Pitatali. We are located at K Chandra Shekhar Rao’s place, right in the Ganjam district. The weather around here really dictates how we work because we need the sun to dry the papads properly. Most of our staff are just folks from the nearby villages who have been doing this for years. We don't have a big fancy office or anything like that. It’s just a practical setup for mixing the dough and rolling it out. Some days the place is quiet, and other days we are rushing to fill orders from the shops in Chikiti or Ganjam. The address can be a little hard to find for outsiders since the roads aren't always marked great. It’s a lot of manual labor, really. You get used to the smell of spices and the sound of the machines. We keep things pretty basic. There is no corporate ladder here, just people working together to get the bags packed. Sometimes we run out of storage space and have to stack things in the corners. It’s a simple life and a simple business. We just try to keep the quality steady without making a big fuss about it. The work is hard on the back, but it’s what keeps us going. We’ve been at this for a while now and don't plan on changing much.
