Sahu Shop

Sahu Shop is a small place in Patiguda, which is part of the Sanakhemundi Tehsil. We are situated right near the U.P. School, so we get a lot of kids and parents stopping by during the day. It’s a general store where you can find a bit of everything, from school notebooks to cooking spices and small snacks. The shop isn't very large, so we have to stack things pretty high on the shelves. It can be a bit of a puzzle to find things sometimes if you aren't used to how I’ve organized it. I’ve been running this place for quite a while now. The building is simple, with a wooden counter and a small porch out front where people sometimes sit and talk. We don't have any fancy signs or bright lights. It’s just a practical shop for the village. I spend my mornings checking what we need to restock and then waiting for the delivery vans to arrive. The pace of life here is slow, and the business reflects that. We aren't looking to expand or become some big franchise. It’s just a way to make a living and help out the people in Patiguda. If someone is short a few rupees, we usually just let it go until next time. That’s how things are done in a small village like ours. Sometimes I forget to order enough pens for the students, but they usually don't mind waiting a couple of days.
