Nothing

Being out here in Golabandha, near Gopalpur, is different than being in a big city like Bhubaneswar. We are based in the Ganjam district of Orissa, and it’s a place where you can actually hear the wind. My setup for Nothing is pretty basic. I have a small room that I’ve turned into an office area. It’s not much to look at from the outside, just a plain building that blends in with everything else in the village. I spend my time working on whatever comes through the door. Life in this part of Orissa is slow, and I try to run things the same way. No rushing or making a big scene out of everything. Most of my day involves checking records or talking to people from the nearby areas who need a bit of help with their projects. The road to get here can be a bit dusty in the summer months. I usually have some water ready for anyone who makes the trip out. It’s a quiet life, and the work reflects that. I don't use a lot of fancy technology, just the essentials to keep things moving. There’s a sense of peace here that you don't get in the more crowded parts of the state. I’ve lived in Ganjam a long time, so I know most of the people who pass by. It’s just a small operation doing what it can.
