Our branch is out in Raipalli, which is under the Gunthapada post office in Ganjam. To get here, you usually come via Aska. It’s a bit of a trek if you aren't from around these parts of Orissa. We work on teleservices, which means we are often looking at towers or trying to fix connection issues in the region. The office is simple and practical because we spend a lot of time out in the field anyway. Ganjam is a beautiful district but the weather can be a bit unpredictable. Sometimes a storm rolls through and we have a lot of work to do. We are just a group of people trying to keep the lines running. It’s not the kind of job where you sit in a cubicle all day. We are often driving out to small villages or checking on equipment. Back at the Raipalli office, it’s mostly just filing reports and catching up on sleep between shifts. We’ve become part of the local landscape here. People know the Aster name because they see our vans around. It’s honest work and it gets us outdoors. We don’t have a big reception desk or a lobby. Just a few desks, some tools, and plenty of spare parts piled up in the corner. That’s just the way it works for us. We just keep our heads down and handle whatever signal problems come our way each morning.
