Our office is situated on Atadamji Street in Berhampur, which is in the Ganjam district of Orissa. It’s a local street that stays pretty busy with people going about their business. We’ve been here for a long time as part of Moserbaer India Ltd. The building is quite simple and fits in with the rest of the neighborhood. Orissa can be very humid, so the fans are always on, and we keep the windows open to catch any breeze. We don’t have fancy carpets or expensive office furniture. It’s just sturdy desks and chairs where we handle the regional distribution. The staff here mostly speaks Oriya, and the atmosphere is very informal and friendly. We have a small storage area in the back for samples and parts. During the monsoon, the street can get a bit flooded, but we just carry on as usual. We aren't interested in sounding corporate or polished. We are just a group of people making sure the work gets done correctly. We drink plenty of tea throughout the day, especially in the afternoons when things slow down a bit. The neighbors are all familiar faces, and we often chat with them during our breaks. It’s a quiet life in Berhampur compared to the big metros, but we like the pace here. We focus on our daily logs and keeping the inventory records updated. It’s straightforward work in a place that feels like home to us.
