Laxmipriya Spices

We are located on the Ganesh Nagar Main Road in Brahmapur. It is a pretty lively area because the Old Berhampur High School is right near us. You can hear the school bell ringing all day and the kids making a lot of noise during their lunch break. At Laxmipriya Spices, we spend our days dealing with all the different bags that come in from the local growers in the taluka. The whole place smells like the stuff we sell, which I guess is better than smelling like exhaust fumes from the busy main road. The building is an old one, but it works for what we need to do. We have some heavy wooden tables where we do all the weighing and packing by hand. It is not like those big factories you see on television; it is mostly just manual work and paying attention to what is in front of us. My brother and I usually handle the customers while a couple of guys help with the heavy lifting in the back room. Sometimes the traffic on Ganesh Nagar road gets really backed up and it takes forever for the delivery vans to reach our door. We just stay patient and keep working until the sun goes down. People from the neighborhood stop by for a chat even when they do not need to buy anything specific. That is just how Brahmapur is. We are glad to be part of this little community.
