Gram Vikas Community Development Foundation

Gram Vikas Community Development Foundation is based out of Mohuda, specifically at the Gram Vikas office where the executive director is. If you know the Hillpatna area, we are right across from the Ganesh temple. It’s a landmark that everyone around here uses to give directions. Being near the temple means there’s usually a lot of activity, especially in the mornings when people are coming for prayers. Our space is tucked away just enough to let us get some work done without being right in the middle of the noise. We have been in this part of Mohuda for a long time, and the building feels like it has a lot of history to it. It’s not one of those modern office blocks you see in the bigger cities. Inside, it’s mostly just a lot of shelves, desks, and people trying to stay organized. We have meetings in the main room and try to keep things moving along. Sometimes the power goes out or the internet is slow, but that’s just part of working in this area. We’ve gotten used to it over the years. Being in Hillpatna is convenient because it’s easy for people to reach us from different parts of the town. We don’t really do anything for show; it’s all just practical work that needs to happen. The atmosphere is pretty relaxed, though we do stay busy with the foundation’s tasks.
