Ecos Eye Hospital

Ecos Eye Hospital is over in the Bijipur locality of Berhampur. It’s a dedicated space for eye care, so we don’t really do anything else. The building is simple and sits right in the middle of the community. Most of our day is spent doing eye exams and checking people for glasses or more serious things like cataracts. Berhampur can get quite hot, so we try to keep the waiting room as cool as possible for the folks coming in. We have a few different rooms for the different machines we use to look at people’s eyes. It’s not the newest building on the block, but it serves its purpose. The staff here are locals, and we often find ourselves chatting with patients about things happening in Bijipur while they wait for their drops to work. We don't use a lot of complicated systems; we keep our records and see people in the order they arrive. Sometimes there’s a bit of a wait if several people show up at once, but we try to keep things moving. We aren't trying to be a giant medical center, just a reliable place for eye stuff in this part of town. You’ll find us easily enough if you know the Bijipur area. We just open up, do the eye checks, and help people see a bit better before they head back out to their day. It is a quiet, steady routine that seems to work for everyone.
