Torrent Pharmaceutical Limited

Our facility is located at 32 No. Middle Camp, right off the NH-31A highway in East Sikkim. It is a very different environment compared to the big cities like Mumbai or Delhi. Out here, the air is a bit thinner and the hills are always green, though the rain can be quite heavy during the monsoon months. We are part of Torrent Pharmaceutical Limited, and this specific site is where we handle a lot of the manufacturing work. The highway is the main artery for us, so we see a lot of trucks passing by all the time. Inside, it’s a very controlled environment with white walls and strict rules, which is necessary for making medicines. We spend our shifts monitoring the machines and checking the labels on the bottles. It’s quiet work, but it requires a lot of attention. Most of the staff comes from the nearby villages or stay in the local area, so it feels like a small community. We don't have any big malls or fancy restaurants around here, so we usually just eat together in the canteen. It’s a steady pace of life, focused on getting the batches out on time. Sometimes the mountain weather makes things difficult for transport, but we’ve learned to plan around the landslides and the fog that often rolls in.
