Md. Rahil

We are located out at the 11th mile mark on Rishi Road. It is a busy stretch of road where trucks and cars are always passing by on their way somewhere else. Our spot is at number 7, which is just a short walk from the Sakya Gumba. Having the monastery so close is nice because it gives people a landmark when they are looking for us. My name is Md. Rahil and I have been working out of this space for quite a while now. The building is not anything special to look at, just a regular place with a sturdy door and a few windows that look out onto the main road. Some days the mist comes down heavy over the hills and you can hardly see the road at all. It gets a bit cold during those times, so we usually have some hot tea going in the back. The pace of work here depends on the day. Sometimes it is quiet and we just tidy up, and other times it is a bit of a mess with people coming in and out. We do not have any big signs or fancy lights to grab your attention. It is just a local business trying to get things done right. Most of the people who stop by are regulars who know the 11th mile well. We like the spot because it is easy to find once you see the Gumba. It is just a simple life here on Rishi Road.
