Intas Pharma

Intas Pharma is located in a place called Samardung Busty, which is part of the Namthang Ilaka. It’s a bit of a mouthful to say if you aren't from around here. We are situated in the Ilakakarek block. The roads leading up to this part of Rangpo are very curvy and can be quite a challenge during the monsoon season. We are surrounded by a lot of greenery and hills, which is a nice view from the windows when we actually have time to look. The facility is dedicated to pharmaceutical work and we have a fairly large team working across different shifts. It is a bit isolated compared to cities, so we have to be quite self-reliant. If something breaks, we usually fix it ourselves. The local community is very involved with the site, and you’ll find many people from the nearby blocks working here. It’s a quiet environment for the most part, except for the internal hum of the factory. We don't have any big flashy signs or a fancy corporate entrance. It’s just a gate and a security post, and then the main buildings where the real work happens. Most of us just focus on our daily targets and making sure the batches are handled correctly. The commute can be long for those living further down the valley, but we are all used to the mountain life. It’s a straightforward place with no hidden frills. We usually have a bit of a laugh during our lunch breaks.
