Reddy Veeranna Sanjeevappa Residential School and P U College is situated out in Navanagar Marlana Halli, which is part of the Karatgi area in Gangavathi. It’s a bit of a distance from the main city noise, sitting in the Koppal district. Since it's a residential school and PU college, we have students staying with us throughout the term. The mornings start quite early here because of the hostel routine. You can hear the water pumps running and the kitchen staff getting breakfast started long before the actual classes begin. The landscape around Karatgi is quite open, so we get a lot of sun on the building. Our classrooms are plain, with the usual benches that have seen better days. We don't spend much on decorations; it's more about having enough space for the students to sit and listen. The teachers here mostly come from the local area or nearby towns. We spend a lot of time talking about the schedule and making sure the residential side of things is working okay. It’s a quiet place mostly, except when the students are out for their break. We deal with the usual stuff like keeping the water tanks full and making sure the electricity bill is paid. It isn't a glamorous job, but we've been doing it at Navanagar Marlana Halli for a while now. The days are long, but we just keep at it, one day at a time.
