It is a quiet spot, which is good for the kind of work we do. Biotech sounds like something you’d find in a big city skyscraper, but for us, it is more about the local soil and how we can make things grow better right here in our own backyard. We spend a lot of time looking at seeds and talking to people about their crops. Rama Shanker Mishra has been here a long time, so using this location made the most sense for getting started. We aren't trying to be some massive corporation with shiny glass windows. We just have our equipment and our notes in a simple space. Sometimes the power goes out or the roads get a bit muddy after the rain, but that is just how it is in Gangapur. We don't spend money on fancy advertisements. Most of our day is just regular lab work or being out in the field seeing how the biotechnology side actually works in the real dirt. It’s practical work. We have a few people who come by to help, and we mostly just keep to ourselves and focus on the science part of farming. It is a slow process but we like being based in Chhabi Narainnaraicha.
