If you are in Gangapur City, you’ll find us right near the Bus Stand. Being so close to the station means there is always a lot of dust and noise from the buses coming and going all day. It’s a busy part of the Sawai Madhopur district. We spend our days fixing up vehicles and getting them back on the road. The floor is stained with oil and there are tires piled up in the corner. It’s a real mechanic’s shop, nothing fancy about it. We have tools scattered around the benches and parts waiting to be fitted. Sometimes a job takes longer than we thought, especially if a part is hard to find, but we just keep at it. Most of the people who stop by are locals or drivers who are passing through and need something looked at quickly. We drink a lot of chai throughout the day to keep going. It gets quite hot in the summer months, but we just open the shutters wide and try to catch a breeze. We don’t have a big waiting room, just a couple of stools if someone wants to sit while we work. It’s a simple life, working on engines and making sure things are running right. Everyone here has grease under their fingernails and a story about a car they couldn't fix easily.
