D. L Agencies is located at 166 Gandhi Park Vinoba, which is right near Payal Talkies. It’s an easy place to spot once you get into the neighborhood. We’ve been operating from this spot for quite a while now. The shop is a bit small and it’s usually packed with stock from floor to ceiling. You have to be careful where you step sometimes. Being near the talkies means we get a lot of people passing by, especially in the evenings when a movie is about to start. The area has a lot of energy. We don't really have a big staff, just a few of us who know where everything is kept. If you ask for something, we can usually find it in a few minutes, even if it looks like a mess to anyone else. We don't use any complicated computer systems for our inventory; we mostly just remember what we have or write it down in a notebook. It’s a very traditional way of doing things, but it has worked for us so far. The building itself is an older one and has some character, like the squeaky front door that we never seem to get around to fixing. We aren't trying to be the biggest agency around. We just like being part of the community and helping out the people who walk through our door. It’s a steady, quiet kind of life, and we usually close up shop once the last movie starts.
