Gurukul English School Amdura Shikarghat

Our school is situated in Amdura, which is over by Pendra Road in the Nanded district. We go by the name Gurukul English School Amdura Shikarghat, and we’ve been serving this local area for quite some time. It is a very rural part of the country, so our school is a big part of the local community. The building is simple, with a few classrooms that look out over the fields. We wanted to make sure that children in Shikarghat and the surrounding villages had a chance to learn in an English medium environment without having to go too far from home. Every morning, you can see students walking along the dirt paths to get here. We don't have a lot of the fancy equipment you might find in a big city school. Our classrooms have the basic stuff—desks, a teacher's table, and some charts on the walls to help with the lessons. It gets a bit noisy during the breaks when everyone is outside playing in the open space around the building. We have a small staff of teachers who live nearby and really care about the kids. The pace of life here is slow and steady. We don't worry about being the biggest or most modern school; we just care about getting the work done and making sure the students know their lessons. It’s a quiet place where the main sound is just the wind and the voices of the children learning. We’re just a small school.
