Sports Authority Of Gujarat

The Sports Authority Of Gujarat has its office in Block No 14 of Dr Jivraj Mehta Bhavan. We are up on the 3rd floor. This building is a major hub in Gandhinagar, so it’s always full of people going from one department to another. Our day is mostly filled with administrative tasks related to sports across the state. We have a lot of desks pushed together and rows of filing cabinets that hold all the records for various programs and athletes. It is a typical government office environment, so it isn't very fancy or modern. We spend a lot of time on the phone talking to coaches or regional officers about equipment and training schedules. Sometimes we have stacks of sports gear like balls or kits sitting in the hallway waiting to be moved. It’s not the most exciting place to work, but we are all here to keep the sports side of things running. We don't have a big marketing budget or a shiny reception area. You just walk down the long corridors of Block 14 until you find us. Being on the 3rd floor means we have to wait for the lift sometimes, which can be a bit of a hassle when we are in a hurry. We just do our work, manage the paperwork, and try to make sure the programs we oversee are moving forward. It’s a steady pace here and we’ve all gotten used to the way things work in this building.
