We are based at 368 Hindustan Warehouse, which is easy to find if you are driving on the Isanpur Narol Highway. It is right across from Mahalaxmi Textile. Working at Vouge Clothing Pvt. Ltd. means dealing with the daily reality of a big industrial area. The floor is hard concrete, and the walls are just there to hold the roof up. We have stacks of clothes in plastic bags piled up on metal shelving that goes all the way up to the ceiling. We have to use ladders a lot to reach things. It is a real workout just getting through a normal Tuesday morning. The sound of the traffic on the highway is like a constant background hum that you eventually stop noticing after a few months. We do not have customers walking in off the street to look at things. It is more about the guys in the delivery trucks and the logistics of moving goods. We spend a lot of our time checking invoices and loading up the back of tempos. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to work by the light coming through the big main door. It gets a bit lonely out here sometimes, but there are always other people working in the warehouses nearby. We share a laugh with the security guards or the drivers when they stop for a break. It is a plain way to earn a living, focused on getting the boxes out the door and keeping the stock moving. No frills, just the daily grind.
