Our factory is located in Phase II of the G.I.D.C. area in Chhatral. It’s at number 1514 and 1507. This is a very industrial part of Ta Kalol, so it’s surrounded by other plants and big warehouses. We make radiators here, which involves a lot of metalwork and heat. The machines are pretty big and they run for most of the shift. Inside, it can get quite warm because of the processes we use to put the units together. We have a lot of workers moving around, carrying parts or checking the assembly line. It’s not a glamorous place, just a functional factory floor with concrete and steel everywhere. The trucks come in and out of the G.I.D.C. gates all day to pick up loads or drop off materials. Outside the building, the roads are often bumpy from all the heavy traffic and rain. We have a small office section for the paperwork and management, but the real work happens out where the noise is. We’ve been in this spot for a while now and have seen the area grow quite a bit over the years. There’s a lot of focus on getting the measurements right so the radiators fit where they are supposed to go. It’s a long day of watching gauges and making sure the metal is joined correctly. We take our lunch breaks together when the machines are turned off for a bit. It’s just how things go.
