We are based out of the Adani Corporate House over in Shantigram. It is a pretty large building, and we are located near the Vaishno Devi Circle on the SG Highway. If you’ve ever driven around here, you know how packed the highway gets during rush hour. We deal with real estate and property matters. Most days involve us sitting through meetings or checking out new spots around Khodiyar to see what is available. The office is decent, but the air conditioning usually feels a bit too cold for most of us. We spend a lot of time on the phone talking to different people about prices and contracts. It’s a lot of coordination and sometimes things get a bit disorganized when we have multiple deals going on at once. We aren’t some big, polished corporate team; we are just a group of people working in the real estate sector. There is a small cafeteria nearby where we grab lunch, and they make a pretty good sandwich. The commute can be a bit of a pain depending on where you are coming from, but the location is handy for getting to different parts of the city quickly. We keep a lot of our notes on yellow legal pads because it’s just easier than typing everything out. Sometimes we stay a little late to finish up the paperwork, but we try to get home at a reasonable time. It is a steady way to make a living.
