Stronghold Packaging

Stronghold Packaging is our workshop at number 80 in the DK Industrial Estate. We are right near the Shreeji Industrial Estate in Kalol. If you come by, you’ll see piles of cardboard and rolls of plastic wrap stacked up nearly to the ceiling. Packaging is a messy business because there are always scraps and offcuts falling everywhere. We try to keep it organized, but when three orders are going out at once, the floor gets covered pretty quickly. The building is an old industrial shed with high ceilings and big metal doors that we leave open for the breeze. Kalol is a good place for this kind of work because there are so many other factories nearby that need boxes and crates. We spend our days measuring, cutting, and stapling things together. It’s physical work and your back definitely feels it by five o’clock. We have a small office tucked in the corner with a single desk and a lot of old ledgers. Most of the time, the owner is out on the floor with the rest of the crew anyway. We don't have a website or anything like that; we just rely on the people who know where we are in the estate. We focus on making sure the boxes are strong enough to hold whatever goes inside them. That’s about it for what we do here every day at our little unit in Kalol.
