Sms Garments

It’s just us here at Sms Garments in Kanakkampalayam. We are located at No. 2/482 in Gandhi Nagar, right near the government school. You can usually hear the kids playing during their break while we are working on the machines inside. We started this small garment shop because it’s what we knew how to do. My brother and I handle most of the daily tasks ourselves. Some days are really hot, and the fans just move the warm air around, but we keep going anyway. We don't have a big fancy sign or a polished front office. It is just a place with sewing machines and stacks of fabric everywhere. People from the neighborhood stop by to chat or check on their orders. We spend a lot of time just sitting at the benches and working through piles of cloth. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to take a break and sit outside for a bit. We don't really do much advertising or anything like that. People just know where we are. We've been in this same spot for quite a few years now. It’s a quiet life mostly. We just focus on getting the stitching right and making sure things are ready when we said they would be. It’s not a big corporation, just a local business trying to do honest work every day. We usually close up when the sun goes down.
